As a KrisFlyer Elite Gold member, you will enjoy:

Star Alliance Gold lounge access*
Relax in the comfort of hundreds of Star Alliance Gold lounges around the world, regardless of the class in which you travel on Singapore Airlines and other Star Alliance airlines.

*The SilverKris lounges in Singapore are not designated Star Alliance Gold lounges. In Terminal 2, please use the SATS Premier Lounge; in Terminal 3, please use the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge.
Extra check-in baggage allowance
You can check in an additional 20kg (44 pounds) or one extra piece** of baggage whenever you travel on Singapore Airlines, SilkAir or any Star Alliance airline. On all Virgin Atlantic flights, you can check in an additional piece of baggage (weighing up to a maximum of 23 kg) regardless of class of travel.

**The 'piece concept' applies primarily to flights to and from North and South America, where you can check in three bags instead of the usual two.

Receive preferential treatment at specially designated Star Alliance check-in counters featuring the KrisFlyer Elite Gold or Star Alliance Gold logo.

Priority baggage handling
Your baggage will be given priority handling, irrespective of the class in which you travel.

Access to SilkAir lounges
Relax in the comfort of SilkAir lounges where available, regardless of the class in which you travel on SilkAir.

Your membership year will be the 12-month period from the date of your enrolment as a KrisFlyer member or upgrade to KrisFlyer Elite Silver status. During this time, you may qualify for KrisFlyer Elite Gold status by earning the required number of Elite miles.

KrisFlyer Elite Gold status will be yours when you achieve 50,000 Elite miles in any class of service on Singapore Airlines, SilkAir or any Star Alliance airline during your Elite Silver membership year, and credit them to your KrisFlyer account.

If you achieve an upgrade to KrisFlyer Elite Gold status, your Elite Gold membership year will begin on the date of your upgrade.

Your Elite Gold membership will be renewed if you earn at least 50,000 Elite miles during your Elite Gold membership year, and credit them to your KrisFlyer account.

Please note: Elite miles refer to the actual miles flown, plus any applicable class bonuses earned. When flying on Singapore Airlines or SilkAir, class bonuses are awarded based on 100%, 125%, 150% and 300% of the actual distance travelled, in Economy Class, Business Class, First Class and Singapore Airlines Suites respectively. On partner airlines, the Elite miles earned may differ. Miles earned through any tier bonus or promotional bonus do not qualify as Elite miles. No Elite miles are accrued for booking classes not eligible for miles accrual.
